Teaser Lecture: The Economic Situation & Forecast 2017 by Aymo Brunetti
Many events, developments and political decisions in 2016 have had a great impact on the economic situation in the entire world as well as in Switzerland. Britain’s exit from the EU in June and the resulting increased economic uncertainty, the controversial US presidential election this fall, or the recent popular vote on the Swiss nuclear energy program, are only a few examples that demonstrate the groundbreaking changes that took place in 2016.
In his Teaser Lecture, Rochester-Bern Professor and former Government Chief Economist, Aymo Brunetti, will explain the recent economic developments and discuss the most important risk factors and their repercussions on Switzerland which will affect 2017.
The first Teaser Lecture of the year will take place at the main building of the Universität Bern. An info session before and a networking apero after the talk will round off the Information Evening and offer a great opportunity to network and meet new and current students, candidates, alumni and also the Rochester-Bern team.
