Annual review 2015
The year 2015 marked Rochester-Bern's 20th anniversary. On this occasion, we celebrated not only with our jubilee graduating EMBA Class 20 but also with our Alumni. Moreover, Rochester-Bern received a fresh and new corporate design along with this new website. Also you can participate on it: Please share your most important moments of 2015 with us in the comments section below.
We intended to start our jubilee year with a new, fresh and modern look. Together with our agency we’ve worked out a meaningful look that is reflective of our mission. The numerous positive feedback confirmed us in our effort and is proof of a successful realization.
In June, our Microsite went online. It summarizes the past 20 years of our existence – how we have grown, what we have achieved and how we have changed the way people think. Have a look at www.20-years-robe.ch!
In the same month, we had the pleasure of celebrating the graduation of the 20th Executive MBA class. The commencement speech at the graduation ceremony was held by Suzan LeVine, U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein (http://blogs.usembassy.gov/levine/10-ideas-i-shared-with-exec-mba-graduates/). The beautiful and sophisticated celebration dinner took place at the Bellevue Palace in Bern, where Class 20 also took the opportunity to congratulate Rochester-Bern with a RoBe birthday cake (see article photo).
The awesome anniversary Alumni party was held the next evening. Many national and international guests gathered to celebrate this special occasion. It was a night filled with great music, tasty food and refreshing drinks, entertaining competitions, serious and grateful words. The Simonites Alumni Association went out of their way to make that night a memorable one and planned everything to the last detail. Check out this video that says more than a thousand words.
Also this year, we had the opportunity to invite alumni, guests, candidates and other interested people to a number of guest lectures. Read up on the guest lectures: The Economic Situation: Forecast 2015 by Prof. Dr. Aymo Brunetti and How can organizations foster a culture of innovation and an entrepreneurial mindset? by Prof. Dr. Marc Gruber.
For the first time in our history, and on occasion of our 20th anniversary, we have hosted a panel discussion. Representatives from business and academia discussed about Disruptive developments in business since 1995 – and what’s coming next. Missed the event? Read up on the details here.
In a nutshell, this was 2015 for Rochester-Bern. We would like to thank all of our alumni who have always supported us, our partners who sponsored our events and to everyone who shares our mission - we’ll change the way you think. We are positive that next year will be just as interesting as our anniversary year. We look forward to seeing you soon in 2016!
