Meet Rochester-Bern: Events 2016
Throughout the year, Rochester-Bern organizes a number of events for their alumni and students as well for people interested in our programs. Also in 2016, you’ll have the opportunity to meet us at several occasions. The opening event of 2016 will be the Guest Lecture with Prof. Dr. Aymo Brunetti under the theme “Economic Situation: Forecast 2016”.
The first Guest Lecture of the year will take place on February 3 at the Universität Bern. In his talk, the economics professor at the Universität Bern and former government chief economist, Aymo Brunetti, will focus on the recent economic developments and discuss the most important risk factors and their repercussions on Switzerland. After the lecture, there will be an apéro and guests will have the opportunity for networking.
For people interested in the Rochester-Bern Executive Programs, we also offer a short info session just before Aymo Brunetti’s talk. Prof. Dr. Petra Joerg, CEO of Rochester-Bern, will inform about the different programs and also be available for further questions during the apéro.
Further events for candidates
People interested in the EMBA program will have the opportunity to visit an actual class in Thun during an Open Day. Sitting in on a regular class day will allow them to gain a first-hand impression of the quality and atmosphere of the program and to exchange experiences with students and faculty.
For participants of the Rochester-Bern Scholarship Competition, there will be a special event in Thun, where they'll have the chance to meet their competitors in real life. This is also an opportunity to attend actual classes and meet current students and faculty of the EMBA program.
Events for alumni and students
For alumni and students, Rochester-Bern provides several events, where they can stay in touch with former class mates and get in touch with other peers. Additionally and for the first time, Rochester-Bern is organizing an educational journey to India, where alumni and students can explore business in India.
