Guest Lecture with Prof. Dr. Filip Caeldries hosted by Baloise
The Baloise Group and Rochester-Bern cordially invite you to the Guest Lecture with Prof. Dr. Filip Caeldries. In his talk, Caeldries will focus on the topic of creating shared value.
Five years ago, Porter (with co-author Kramer) published a landmark article in the Harvard Business Review: “Creating Shared Value”. The central premise of creating shared value (CSV) involves creating economic value for the firm in a way that also creates value for society by addressing its needs and challenges. CSV acknowledges that trade-offs exist between short-term profitability and societal objectives, but focuses on the opportunities for creating competitive advantage by building a social value proposition as an integral part into the firm’s business strategy.
In his guest lecture, Prof. Dr. Filip Caeldries will reflect on the origins of the CSV concept, the differences with other practices such as CSR as well as the implications for new (inclusive) business and organizational models.
