Claudio Loderer has research and teaching interests in topics involving capital markets, risk management, company valuation, M&A, and corporate governance. Before joining the University of Bern, Claudio served on the faculty of Purdue University in Indiana. He was also a visiting assistant professor of Finance at the University of Chicago and later a visiting professor at the Stern School of Business, New York University. From 2011 to 2016, Claudio headed the Swiss Finance Institute. Today, he is vice president and delegate of the Foundation Board of Rochester-Bern Executive Programs. He is a coauthor of Handbuch der Bewertung (NZZ Verlag). He has served on several editorial boards and has published in different journals, including Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, Journal of Business, and Journal of Accounting and Economics. Furthermore, he has been a member of the executive board of the European Finance Association. He has written expert opinions, consulted for financial and non-financial institutions, and sat on boards of various corporations.
