Jens O. Meissner is Professor of Organizational Resilience at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He co-heads the Management Section of the Department of Economics, headed the university’s interdisciplinary future lab CreaLab, and conducts research in the field of organizational practices on resilience, high reliability, and organizational design at the Swiss and international level. He is a member of the scientific advisory board of the CVJM University of Applied Sciences in Kassel and was a member of the board of Switzerland’s largest risk management association, Netzwerk Risikomanagement e.V. He is a lecturer in organization, business administration, and management at the Universities of Hanover and St. Gallen. After training as an industrial clerk and working in human resources and organizational development at a German energy supplier, he studied economics at the private University of Witten/Herdecke. He earned his doctorate at the University of Basel in organizational communication and was instrumental in founding and establishing the Institute for Economic Studies in Basel.
