Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the College of Management of Technology at EPFL, Switzerland; Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization (ENTC)

Marc Gruber works as a full professor and holds the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). He represents EPFL in numerous national and international committees and bodies. From 2017 to 2021, he also served on the EPFL Rectorate as Vice President for Innovation and was President of EPFL’s Innovation Park (with approximately 25 large companies and 170 start-ups). Marc Gruber received his PhD from the University of St. Gallen and habilitated at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. He has received the “Thought Leader Award” of the Academy of Management (Entrepreneurship Division) several times for his research and was honored in 2016 as a leading scholar in the field of entrepreneurship for the period 2005-2015.

Marc Gruber is also co-author of the in 2018 published book “Where to Play: 3 Steps for discovering your most valuable market opportunities”. Since 2022, he is Editor-in-Chief of a leading global scientific management journal, the “Academy of Management Journal”.
