Final Thesis

Knowledge Transfer

The DAS thesis deepens management expertise through the analysis of a concrete, professionally relevant challenge. Its objective is to examine the issue analytically, develop viable solutions, and critically reflect on their implementation.

Topic Selection & Language

The topic of the final thesis may be freely chosen within the context of the CAS programs attended.

Content:

  • Context and definition of the selected problem or research question
  • Access to relevant data for the analysis (e.g., topic-specific literature, industry studies, or internal company data)
  • Methodological approach to problem-solving (e.g., written surveys or personal interviews)
  • Proposed solution, including an implementation plan with a change management component

Supervision & Process

Participants are supervised by a faculty member of their choice from the Rochester-Bern network. Detailed feedback is provided after each of the following three milestones:

  • Topic proposal
  • Concept outlining the development of the idea
  • Submission of the final thesis

Time Frame & Costs

The thesis can be started after successfully completing all required courses. To ensure adequate flexibility alongside professional life, the time frame for the thesis can be extended to a maximum of six months.
The costs for the entire DAS degree consist of the individual course components and the master’s thesis. Please contact us to discuss your ideal DAS package based on your needs and experience.
