Specialization module for board presidents in the SME environment
The first day of the seminar deals with the role of the president of the board with regard to the future viability of the company. An important role here is played by the strategy for the ongoing renewal of the company, the assessment of risks, liquidity planning and capital procurement, and strategic partnerships.
The second day of the seminar focuses on the leadership challenges of the board chair. Dynamics and competence in the board of directors, the formation of meaningful committees, the interface to the CEO or the executive board, the care of the important stakeholders as well as the management of agenda, pending list and minutes play an important role here.
The third day of the seminar focuses on dealing with special situations such as defending against a cyber attack or a social media shitstorm, the successful implementation of a merger, restructuring, reorganization, etc. The focus is on the class’ own cases for which target-oriented solutions are developed together with experts. Among other things, this involves crisis management and crisis communication.
The seminar “Competence for the Board Presidency” addresses typical board presidency topics and provides practical solutions. You will benefit from a cross-industry exchange and deepen your practical and theoretical know-how.
